Look out! This game will get you right in the feels. Thomas Was Alone is the critically acclaimed indie platformer about friendship and jumping. The musical battle for FNF mods takes this concept to the next level, as players compete head-to-head in real-time battles to see who can hit the notes and keep the beat. Be careful not to pass this one up and prematurely judge this game based on its aesthetic appeal. FNF mods, short for Friday Night Funkin mods, are custom-made levels that add new music and challenges to the popular rhythm game. Agents of Mayhem, MXGP3, and Thomas was Alone Now Available in Xbox Game Pass. It still holds up and it just as enjoyable, entertaining and heart-felt as it had been back then. Xbox Game Pass loses a quick completion and five more titles soon. Overall, this was a great play and I'm so glad I gave it a chance all those years ago. Cheers to Hukd :) Meet Thomas, a curious rectangle, and help him unravel the mysteries of his existence in a wonderfully strange world. Absolutely brilliant narration and voice acting. The narrator, Danny Wallace, did a stellar job and brought the story and characters to life. While it certainly is a minimalistic game in art, style, design and mechanics- it has a deeply rich narrative and contains larger than life geometric characters, all of whom leave lasting impressions. It's so much more than the simple game it appears to be, with it's minimalist style and mechanics.

To be honest I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.

I had initially played it back in 2012 or so, when it was first released.

Of how they get made and played, of the joys and frustrations they bring and of the thousands of tiny iterative processes that go into evolving single titles and the entire medium into. THOMAS WAS ALONE was such a great indie game, and an even greater experience. For all its charm, Thomas is more than just the super-minimalist-yet-incredibly-engaging tales of a few plucky AIs.
